I drove to the office yesterday after work to swap out paperwork, delayed slightly so it was quite dark and only two other people were still in the office while I was there. Works for me! By the time I got back, Shobhit had dinner ready and, once he was done with a virtual Braeburn Condos Board meeting between 6 and 7 p.m., we proceeded to watch three one-hour episodes of TV shows: The Undoing on HBO; Fargo on Hulu; and what I am currently finding to be the best of them (now that We Are Who We Are is done, anyway), The Queen's Gambit on Netflix.

That's about the long and short of it, really: my evening in a nutshell. I suppose we could get into President Fuckwit's shameless attempts to deny the election results, but who wants to get into such an unsurprising yet still depressing turn of events? I just look forward to Inauguration Day. Or prior to that at least, all the states actually certifying their election results, that having not happened being the straws this administration is grasping at.

There's not much else to report. I've been reading this book written by now-retired, ex-coworker Marilyn about her mother's death from Alzheimer's, which she sent me as a sympathy gift after my mom died. I read it almost exclusively during my lunch breaks, and since Shobhit is not working today and I can't read near a TV that's turned on, I took my lunch and read in the bedroom at my work desk. I won't get a chance to read tomorrow as I have FaceTime lunch scheduled with Karen; in fact I have social events both tomorrow and Friday—Friday being November Happy Hour with Laney. There's no way we can meet at the park now, what with it being scheduled for a weekday evening and it'll already be dark. We have still discussed meeting in person (but still distanced) at an outdoor table at her apartment complex if the weather is dry enough, but even that is looking rather unlikely, what with a current Friday evening forecast of 90% chance of rain. We'll almost certainly be returning to Virtual Happy Hour for November.

No socializing scheduled over the rest of the weekend, although I did schedule a library book pickup downtown on Saturday afternoon. Oh that reminds me, I did get my annual Seattle Public Library Foundation fundraising call from Elizabeth yesterday, and I still went ahead and donated the customary $120. I still need to plug that into my budget / transactions log. Maybe I can come up with a movie or two to watch and review over the weekend.
