Sat, 15:46: Bonus December virtual #HappyHour as a last hurrah before Laney goes off on retirement travels starting in January! But we’ll do this again while she’s traversing the country too, for which these virtual Happy Hours have been a trial run for what we’ve already known was the plan for ages, before most of you even knew what the plan was bwahahaha!!
(Skype has no real “virtual background” feature when doing it web based in a browser as I am doing here, so we’re using my iPad as a stand-in for said background.) https://t.co/rsOUEbSgGg
Fri, 8:21: Okay I usually refuse to share these dumb memes except that this one pegged me so well it was astonishing: SEEKER OF PROFOUND PLEASURE. https://t.co/fvUJRYOwfs
Fri, 9:15: There's an annoying helicopter circling over Capitol Hill yet again, and in trying to figure out what the fuck is attracting that ... I discovered it's an SPD sweep of the homeless encampment over at Cal Anderson Park this morning.
To be honest, I am truly ambivalent about such actions; I love that park and hate seeing it genuinely trashed. On the other hand, it strikes me as a truly valid point to bring up the massive city resources being used for such sweeps, which are not AT ALL being used by the city to offer those people a viable alternative as to where to go.
(And anyone who just wants to say some bullshit like "They can get a job and pay rent like the rest of us" can fuck right off; that's a willfully ignorant take that ignores both nuance—circumstances are never that simple—and their collective humanity. And that applies even when there *isn't* a pandemic happening, which, by the way, actions like this exacerbate.)
Fri, 14:09: Someone should make a movie about five fun sluts born between February 19 and March 20 and call it Five Easy Pisces.
Fri, 19:36: The last in a spectacular series of films that are changing the game by blurring industry definitions and commanding attention. https://t.co/saNa4TRJ5d
