Ward House was built in Victorian style in 1882 at Pike & Boren, its original address 1427 Boren—according to Google Maps today, the current location of Homewood Suites by Hilton, across the street from Plymouth Pillars Park. Ward House was left vacant in 1974 and was set for demolition in the eighties, but then donated to preservation organization Historic Seattle, who then sold it to local lawyer David Leen, who in turn had the house moved to its current location, half a mile to the northeast. It was restored and then law offices until 2016, and is now the location of venture capital firm Tola Capital. It’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is an official City of Seattle Landmark.
Not entirely sure what the perimeter fencing there right now is all about. The building clearly has had a fairly recent paint job done, with lovely colors.
