Not much to update you on from the past 24 hours. Shobhit did ask if I had plans last night, and when I texted him back that I had none, I suggested he walk down to meet me at the office and then walk home from work with me. So, he did that.
He had made a "polenta lasagna" for the potluck he went to in Everett Saturday night, and since he made himself okra (blech!) for dinner last night, he said I could have the last of the polenta lasaga. I also made us chai.
I tried to find something we could watch on Disney+ just to take advantage of the subscription I still have until the 24th, but with
Andor over, if you set aside the massive amount of Marvel and Star Wars content, there's not a whole lot to choose from. Shobhit was much more interested in his news programs anyway, so I went to the bedroom to try and find something to watch.
Even without trying to come to a consensus choice with Shobhit, there wasn't anthing I was super interested in on Disney+. I then remembered there's a new season of
Conan O'Brien Must Go on Max, so I watched the two episodes of that, that are available instead. And it was pretty entertaining.

In other news, the weekend I
thought was also going to be relatively uneventful next weekend has turned out to be, definitively,
very eventful. First of all, I have a double feature planned with Laney in the Braeburn Condos theater on Saturday. Secondly, I previously spaced the fact that it's Memorial Day weekend, and Laney and I also had made plans for two different things on Monday: yet another movie in the Braeburn Condos theater at noon—we're going to watch
Megan, which she has never seen, so we can then go see
Megan 2.0 together later in June—and then do a Happy Hour at Fonté Bar at Rainier Square and, weather permitting, play ping pong on the public ping pong tables on the terrace.
Shobhit and I also already have plans Sunday evening: the one SIFF movie I'll be attending this year, because he was given two free passes. We'll be seeing
Twinless, a movie I've been excited to see for some time.
And there's something else on top of all that! Shobhit also got access to the "Folklife Lounge," a connection through his position on the
TPS board. I noted that the Folklife Festival is a free festival anyway, but this "lounge" sounds like a somewhat more exclusive area, and free snacks are always a plus! Shobhit put in for tickets for both of us on Friday, Saturday,
and Sunday. I don't know that we'll go all three days, but whatever our experience is on Friday—now the only plan I have after work that day—will inform whether we bother going back on Saturday (after my double feature) or Sunday (before the SIFF movie).
