Thu, 14:33: This week I happened upon this old 2005 photo of Shobhit “ice skating” at Seattle Center during Winterfest the day after Thanksgiving. At the time this was taken, Shobhit and I had known each other a year and a half and had been living together just a little more than a year. I love what I wrote about this then:
To my complete shock, Shobhit actually suggested we go ice skating. Here you see him standing on ice and in ice skates for the first time in his life. …He's terrified. That thing in front of him is a walker designed for kids no more than four feet tall, but he insisted on using it. You should have seen him trying to ice skate, with such grim determination on his face. It was actually very cute.
