Today is the 18th anniversary of my first day at PCC, so here are just a few photos from my first year. 1. At my first desk at the previous office location (which we moved out of in 2016), taken by Janice. 2. My desk on my second day, August 6, 2002. And we thought we were hurtling through technological advancement at the time! The flowers were given to me as a welcome gift from her home garden by Elin, who retired in 2015 and who I still miss dearly. ❤️ 3. My cat in a PCC hat, two logo designs ago. 4. Me at my first setup for the annual PCC Office Thanksgiving Feast, which clearly won’t happen this year, for the first time in its history. 😢

Wed, 11:40: I'm so tired of the argument that diverting some funding away from the police department will result in higher crime rates.

If your police department has the time to brutalize and terrorize the people they're supposed to be protecting, it can afford to lose some funding.

Wed, 14:22: Well, dammit, I really loved this show ... and this piece makes a series of very convincing counterpoints, made in part by one of the women portrayed. How frustrating when something so well made can obscure how disappointing it really is.
