I have limited time to update you on the past 24 hours today. Which is fine anyway because there's not a lot to report.

I went to Steamworks last night, and was done unusually quickly. I got home shortly after 7:00, leaving us time to watch two more episodes of Euphoria (season 1, episode 3, mostly set at a carnival, was spectacular, with editing and cinematography rivaling the best of such craft in movies), and to go do some shopping at the Central District PCC.

Zevia Soda is on deep discount right now, so I stocked up again: about six 6-packs. They've finally transitioned their packaging away from plastic rings and are now wrapped in cardboard boxes, hooray! Even more reason to love that brand.

That was kind of the highlight of my evening. That and, I suppose, the very new, young man working the register, who had incredibly beautiful blue eyes. PCC has a long history of hiring hot young men, though. I don't know what it is, maybe I just find "granola" guys more attractive? There are probably young adults now too young to even understand what "granola" means.

I just had my biweekly virtual lunch with Karen, this time finally being proactive about using Zoom instead of FaceTime, which never wants to connect properly over my phone using work wifi anymore. The upside of this is that I just upgraded Zoom on my work computer due to a Zoom meeting with a vendor at 11:30, which meant being able to use it to chat with Karen directly afterward, on the larger laptop screen rather than just on my phone. It's a win all around!

She hadn't had a chance to read through my Independence Day photo digest yet, so we talked a fair amount about that, and she was very impressed by the viewing location we found.

Then we talked a lot about TV shows, particularly The Bear, which she only recently discovered, even for its first season: she binged both seasons over only one weekend! Damn. She said she had a lot of sewing projects to work on, so I guess you could say she was multitasking. Sewing or not, I still get it. That's a phenomenal show. She then asked if I had anything to recommend knowing she enjoyed The Bear, so I recommended Beef on Netflix, which is not quite as good as The Bear but it's close.
