Yesterday was a pretty standard Tuesday, and you know what that means! Not a lot to report on. I'm good with that, really. My insanly busy weekend kind of seeped into Monday evening, and last night was the one night all week that I did not have any plans. The most exciting thing I did was laundry.
Okay, that's not really true. Maybe it was the most important thing I did.
The most
exciting thing I did was watch the season premiere of
The Guilded Age on HBO Max; and then Sunday night's episode of
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver—the main story being about "AI slop," and how it's infiltrating all our social media feeds and duping millions of people, so really it was as bleak an episode as ever. But at least John Oliver is funny! Anyway then we watched two more episodes of
Laid on Peacock.

I did talk to Gabriel for about 20 minutes on the phone yesterday morning while I was at work, and he told me about
his Sunday: he went to
Washington State Summer Con at the fairgrounds in Puyallup, where he got to meet
Elizabeth Dulau, who plays
Kleya, his favorite character (and not a bad choice) on
Andor, by a gigantic margin the best Star Wars TV show ever made; one of the best Star Wars productions of any medium ever made; and many who insist it's straight up the best Star Wars
anything ever made would be hard to argue with. So anyway that was fun to hear about. Gabriel texted the group chat on Sunday a photo he had taken with her, and . . . well, let's just say that Elizabeth Dulau looks tiny.
Okay, so. What else? Shobhit and I walked to PCC to take advantage of the last day of the $5 off $15 deal in the Deli. I got a half pint of smoked mozzarella pasta that I intended to have for lunch today, and then promptly fogot to grab it when I left.
Oh! I
did grab my spare bike helmet, though. Why? I was literally arriving at home on my bike yesterday before I even realized I had ridden the entire way without my helmet on. I had left it in my desk drawer at work. Jesus Christ! That was so dangerous. I even rode near several other cyclists on my way home, they all had helmets on, and it still didn't register that I wasn't wearing mine. Talk about bizarre. So today, I have two with me. I'll have to carry the spare in my backpack when I ride home. At least it's lightweight.
Anyway, Shobhit and I also walked from PCC to Trader Joe's for a few other things. We did this after watching
The Guilded Age and
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver but before watching
Laid. I'm not giving this one a social review, though. This wasn't just going out for a walk. We may have still walked, but it was still just running errands. I have never qualified that as a social activity. Tough shit!
