My Bluesky posts

  • Wed, 08:19: Shobhit’s doing well! And in pretty high spirits this morning. Naturally I had to get a hospital selfie.

Results from this morning are consistent with there being no heart damage. He’ll probably have to go in for further tests later to determine what exactly *did* happen, but he’s likely to be released today, maybe even by late morning. https://t.co/34AX2ugk5q
  • Wed, 18:29: 31 hours later, he’s finally out of the hospital! They kept him longer than anticipated today to do a stress test … which just further proved he had no heart damage.

Still no knowledge of what *did* cause this event, he is now tasked with making a follow-up appointment with our primary care physician within the next week to determine next steps.

Shobhit was really afraid of the stress test because a stress test was related to when his father passed away in 1990, so I made sure I was with him when the test happened. They still asked me to step out and wait in this small seating area down the hall during the test, so I wouldn’t pull focus. But you know me, I still managed a couple of shots with my camera before I stepped out.

They had to transfer him in a chair from the hospital room to an elevator and down a floor to the echo testing area, I presume so he can’t trip and break a leg and sue them for negligence?

Speaking of his room, I haven’t even mentioned yet that the one available for him to be transferred to out of the ER yesterday was apparently designed for patients with behavioral issues. His TV was the only one inside a cage, and I’m still dying for an explanation for the bizarrely designed double doors, with one side stretching across maybe 4/5 of the width. I amused myself by squeezing through the narrow side though, because waiting around in hospitals for hours is fucking boring!

We’re just really, really glad to finally have him back out of the hospital.
